This policy describes what the app does and does not collect. It is written to match the app's actual behaviour, not a generic template.

Your videos and photos never leave your device

All compression happens on your phone using its own built-in video and image encoders. The app does not upload, transmit, copy, or store your videos or photos on any server. There is no cloud component and no account.

The app does not request permission to browse your photo library. When you compress something, you pick it through Android's own system picker, and the app receives access only to the specific files you chose, for that session.

What the app stores on your device

• A list of files you have compressed, with their names and sizes, so the History screen can show what you saved.
• Your settings, such as the appearance choice and whether you have seen the intro screens.
• Whether you have purchased Pro.

This information stays on your device. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Delete my data, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.

Advertising

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, Google may collect and process:

• Your device's advertising identifier, and app set ID
• IP address, and an approximate (city-level) location derived from it
• Device information such as model and operating system version
• Interactions with the app and the ads, such as app launches, taps and video views
• Basic performance diagnostics, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy usage

These are the categories Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects. They correspond exactly to the four data types declared in this app's Google Play Data safety section: Approximate location, App interactions, Diagnostics, and Device or other IDs.

This collection is performed by Google, not by us. We do not receive, store, or have access to this data. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy & Terms and the AdMob policies.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form the first time it runs, and your choice controls whether personalised ads are used. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.

Purchasing Compressor Pro removes ads entirely, and no further ad requests are made.

Purchases

Compressor Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play (or Samsung Galaxy Store, depending on where you installed the app). The store processes the payment; we never see or receive your payment details. The app only receives confirmation that a purchase exists.

What the app does NOT do

• No account, sign-up, or login
• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
• No crash reporting service
• No third-party tracking, attribution, or data-broker SDKs
• No push notifications from a server
• No selling or sharing of personal information

Permissions

• Notifications (optional) — used only to show compression progress. The app works fully if you decline.
• Foreground service — lets a compression finish if you switch to another app. It runs only while a compression is actually in progress.
• Internet and network state — used only to load ads. Compression itself works offline.

The app does not request all-files access, external storage access, or broad photo and video library permissions.

Children

This app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
